For our interview series, the GCPR Blog team talked to Adriana De Vizcaya of Lead Image, partner of GlobalCom PR Network in Mexico, about the latest market-trends in their region.*

1. Which industries/markets are booming at the moment in Mexico?

In Mexico, the markets currently having a boom are the automotive industry, financial markets, telecommunications industry, health industry, manufacture industry and tourism industry.

 

2. What makes Mexico currently so interesting for these industries?

Mexico is seen like a country which is considered as a safety place for investors. Today, our economy has low debt, well-managed fiscal accounts and an inflation rate that is under control, so at this moment, the foreign companies want to be in the Mexican market because we are a growth potential country. Agencies like ours can help companies to coordinate and consolidate their Latin America market entry with new business.

 

3. Why should companies from these industries start doing Public Relations in Mexico?

In order to assure or to increase their presence in Mexico and Latin America markets, companies should see the public relations as the partner who will help them to be on the top of the media’s and therefore the public mind. Companies need to present an edge that makes them stand out from the crowd, something that makes them more appealing and interesting to both the public and the media, as the public are the buyers of the product and the media support the product’s visibility which helps selling it. Therefore companies need understand how the Latin people think in order to achieve their full potential on the emergent markets.
